Overview:
Metal bushings are essential components used to maintain proper alignment, reduce friction, and minimize wear between two surfaces in motion. They are commonly utilized as guides in precision metal drilling operations to ensure accuracy. Unlike other types of bearings, bushings feature a simple design without rolling or ball elements. These single-part components can be tailored with multiple layers of conductive or insulating materials, or lubrication, based on specific application requirements.
Our factory specialize in providing custom metal bushings designed to meet the unique needs of your projects. Our expertise in creating high-quality, precision bushings ensures optimal performance and longevity for a wide range of industrial applications.

Production Process:
- Material Selection: The process begins with selecting the appropriate metal material, such as aluminum, copper, or steel, based on the application’s requirements for strength, durability, and conductivity.
- Blanking: A flat sheet of metal is cut into discs or blanks of the required size. These blanks will serve as the starting point for the deep drawing process.
- Deep Drawing: The blank is placed into a die and pressed with a punch to form a cup shape. The metal is drawn into the die through a series of steps, progressively deepening the part into the desired shape, such as a bushing with a cylindrical or flanged design.
- Annealing (if required): To relieve the stress caused by the drawing process, the metal is heated to a specific temperature and then slowly cooled, improving the material’s ductility and reducing the risk of cracking.
- Trimming: The edges of the deep-drawn bushing are trimmed to remove any excess material or to achieve the desired finish.
- Surface Treatment: Depending on the application, the bushing may undergo surface treatments such as coating, plating (e.g., zinc, nickel), or polishing to enhance its wear resistance, corrosion resistance, or aesthetic properties.
- Final Inspection and Testing: Each bushing is rigorously inspected for dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and other relevant specifications. Testing may include hardness tests, visual inspections, and functional tests to ensure the bushing meets the required performance standards.
- Packaging: After passing the quality checks, the bushings are cleaned, packaged, and prepared for shipment.
Surface Treatment Options for Deep Drawn Metal Bushings:
-
Anodizing
Provides a durable, corrosion-resistant surface with enhanced hardness and an attractive finish, ideal for aluminum bushings.
-
Electroplating
Deposits a layer of metals such as zinc, nickel, or chrome to improve corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity, and wear protection.
-
Powder Coating
Creates a uniform, durable, and decorative finish, offering excellent resistance to chipping, scratching, and corrosion.
-
Passivation
Enhances corrosion resistance by chemically treating the metal surface, particularly for stainless steel bushings.
-
Phosphate Coating
Provides a base layer for paint adhesion and enhances corrosion resistance in high-stress environments.
-
Polishing
Achieves a smooth, reflective surface finish, improving aesthetics and reducing friction during operation.
Each treatment can be customized to meet specific application requirements and ensure optimal performance.
